Merge discussion edit

  • Propose merge. They are the same dynasty, or variants of the same dynasty. Should be covered in one article within the series on the History of Bengal. Itsmejudith (talk) 18:24, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh dear. There seems to be no end to Kamboja-cruft. Merge away. Moreschi (talk) 00:43, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
They were a separate kingdom from the Pala Empire whose rulers used the same suffix; pala(which just means Protector in Sanskrit). I disagree with the merge since they were neither the same dynasty nor a variant of them. Perhaps it would be less confusing if the article was moved to Kamboja-Pala Kingdom instead--Reahad (talk) 21:21, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
See Pala dynasty (Kamarupa) for another example of an independent dynasty with the same suffix.--Reahad (talk) 22:22, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
If you can improve these articles without merger then that is great. We need editors who know this history. Please go ahead. Itsmejudith (talk) 22:29, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Opposed. Though there is room for improvement the article by itself seems legitimate.--Joostik (talk) 15:00, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Native name edit

(Punjabi: ਕਮ੍ਬੋਜ, Hindi: कम्बोज) Were inappropriately listed on the Sanskrit article on the Kamboja but might be the name of this dynasty. If they are, please add to the lede, with transliterations. — LlywelynII 20:22, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

No such dynasty edit

It might be worth pointing out in the article that there never was a Kamboja Pala dynasty.PiCo (talk) 10:42, 29 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mleccha edit

Though many have translated Mlechchha (Malecha etc.)in their own ways as foreigners (mistranslation) etc. the name actually refers to the inhabitants of the Indus Valley Civilization (Meluhha, Melussa). --Novo24 (talk) 04:05, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
