a prominent industrial entrepreneur, one of the pioneers of the garment industry, educationist, sports organizer and author. He is also involved in journalism. He is Mohana Television Limited and S.S. Chairman of Agro Complex Limited Mr. Kamal Ahmed Majumder is a brave freedom fighter. He actively participated in the Great War of Liberation in 1971. On August 15, 1975, after the anti-independence gang killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, he was the first to lead a protest march in Dhaka University and for this he was arrested several times. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was very fond of him and had a close friendship with Sheikh Kamal.

He is the founder and former president of the governing body of Manipur High School and College, the traditional best educational institution of Bangladesh. He is the founder of many educational institutions including Government Bangabandhu College, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Islamic Women's Degree College, Bangabandhu Vidyaniketan, Kamal Ahmed Majumder School and College, Delbahar Primary School located in Mirpur, Dhaka. Besides, Mirpur Udayan School, Jannat Academy High School, Adarsh High School, Kazipara Siddiquia Fazil Madrasa, etc. took the initiative to reform, expand and modernize many educational institutions in Mirpur. He is also the founder of Chalantika Krirachakra. Mr. Kamal Ahmed Majumdar Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Founder of Mobile Hospital. He is the president of Bangladesh Olympic Association and member of Asian Athletic Federation. He was the President of Bangladesh Amateur Athletics Federation and Vice-President of SAARC Athletics Federation.

Mr. Kamal Ahmed Majumdar is a Life Member of Bangla Academy, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Bangladesh Andha Kalyan Samiti and Dhaka University Registered Graduate and Former Senate Member of Bangabandhu Agricultural University and Jahangirnagar University.

He was awarded the National Medal twice by the President in recognition of his significant contribution to the export of readymade garments and was selected as the highest exporter and CIP 5 times in total. He was awarded the National Gold Medal by the Intellectual Forum for his contribution to the Liberation War and social service.

In 1990, his victory in the by-election in the Greater Mirpur i.e. Dhaka-11 seat was forcibly taken away. Later, he was elected as a member of the National Parliament of Dhaka-11 Constituency as a nominated candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the 7th National Election held in 1996.
