The version info is not only suspect, but rife with bad HTML leftovers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.77.76.34 (talk) 16:54, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Free Call (mVoIP)

edit

On May 25th, 2012, KakaoTalk introduced its Free Call feature (mVoIP) to its users (Korean users can use it after June 4th, 2012). Users can make domestic and international calls for free, using 3G or WiFi connections. Kakao's mVoIP technology, which uses minimum 3G packet for the high call quality, is developed by its in-house mVoIP engineering team. Introduction of the feature has been featured on The Next Web[1] . The article by The Next Web says that KakaoTalk's mobile VoIP call quality is on par with services like Skype and Viber. [2]

KakaoTalk's Free Call offers its users a voice filter option. Using the voice filter option, users can call friends in two different types of voices, alien voice and monster voice.

Awards

edit
  • Rated No.1 free texting app by CNET [3]
  • Best Brand in Korea 2011 [5]
  • 2011 App Award Korea ‘App of the Year’[6][7]
  • 2011 6th Korea Internet Award ‘President’s Award’[8]

ISO27001 "certification"

edit

I just edited the features in the article. The linked news article indicates the company has been ISO 27001 certified. Apparently some PR/marketing departement decided this meant the product had been ISO 27001 certified, which is impossible (as ISO 27001 covers info sec management within a company/organization, not a product). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.108.210.53 (talk) 09:38, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

indonesia?

edit

"KakaoTalk has hit 13 million users and has potential to becoming KakaoTalk's largest market worldwide." Huh? I think 'Indonesia' needs to be put in somewhere in the first part of the sentence. 64.53.191.77 (talk) 17:00, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
