Talk:Kabuto Yakushi

Latest comment: 12 years ago by Das Baz in topic Not clear

I would like to explain why I changed the age of Kabuto at 22 in part 2. In the 1st databook which records the stats at the chuunin exam, Kabuto is 19. He turns 20 by the end of the part 1. Since the timeskip between part 1 and part 2 is 2.5 years (and not 3 full years), you can easily assume Kabuto didn't turn 23 yet, even tho he might be approaching it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.12 (talkcontribs) 05:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

I would also like to explain why I changed Kabuto's age. Since Kabuto was born on February 29th, a day that only occurs in February every 4 years I might add, so I took it upon myself to divide each of his ages shown by four tio show how old he would have been since he would have celebrated each of his birthdays every four years. I understand if Wikipedia wants to have his ages displayed in how many years he's lived in the world, that's fine. All I wanted to point out by changing his ages is the fact that he was born in leap year, and hasn't actually turned 19 or 20 or 22 yet.

Jinchuriki hints

edit

As I've said before, this section doesn't belong on Wikipedia. As it's been stated several times, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. If you want to speculate about whether or not Kabuto is a Jinchuriki, do it on a forum somewhere, but don't do it here. Geg 15:55, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The quotes are DIRECTLY taken from the manga and databook. Therefore they can be verified. Whether you agree or not the analysis of those quotes is your problem, it doesn't give you the right of vandalizing the article. Stop it or I'll have to message operators. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.86 (talkcontribs) 16:40, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
First, quit calling me a vandal. You obviously have no idea of what a vandal does. And even if you did call "operators" they'd take my side as that entire section is pure speculation. Not only do you have a skewered definition of "vandalism" you also have a skewered definition of "speculation". The problem isn't that the quotes can't be varified, the problem is that the analyses can't be varified.Geg 17:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since you're obviously not going to listen, I've notified an administrator about this. I'm waiting for his response. Geg 19:39, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dude, it isn't vandalism. I'm removing speculation from the page, which is what I'm obligated to do by Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia may be a free encyclopedia, but it has rules. Geg 22:37, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have added the subtitle of chapter 291 in loyalty section, as it clearly states Kabuto has an agenda of his own. I have also mentionned the dialogues foreshadowing Kabuto was Sasori's spy and their next jinchuuriki target. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.12 (talkcontribs) .

  • Again, that is speculation and quoting the manga is also not allowed. Drop the issue, or I'll ask to have the page semi-protected again. Danny Lilithborne 06:25, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
there is no speculation: Kabuto was indeed Sasori's spy, so the same for jinchuuriki. Don't be an asshole. Removing the quote was unnedded as well. This is vandalism and censorship attempt. Again, don't be an asshole. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.12 (talkcontribs) .
Like I told you before, YOU are the vandal. Foreshadowing is not the same as disclosing, and it's explicitly not allowed. Don't be a dick. Danny Lilithborne 06:30, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
You are a vandal, you removed the reference to chapter 291 even tho i edited not to violate the copyright. Also there is no speculation again. You are the dick, not me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.12 (talkcontribs) .
If this was your first time, I probably would have been a bit more kind; but you've pulled this nonsense before and the time to assume good faith has lapsed. You have obviously no argument to justify your vandalism and censorship attempt, except that you are logged-in. Can I laugh at your stupidity. There is no copyright infrigment nor speculation in what i posted. You just want to censor elements that don't please you. You are trying to CENSOR elements of the bio. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.228.0.12 (talkcontribs) .
Oh yeah. I'm trying to suppress the truth. Save it, I've heard this all before. You talk like there's a big conspiracy against Naruto plot elements. Think about what you're insinuating. And calm down. Danny Lilithborne 07:11, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The guv'ment is after mah teef! But seriously, anonymous user, you need to calm down and actually read the guidelines that Danny and I have posted instead of just pointlessly calling us vandals. Personally, I'm impressed that Danny was able to carry on a civil conversation with you. Well, civil on his side, anyway. Geg 16:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Page has been reprotected. The contentious issue is whether the following should be included:

The sub title of the chapter 291 describes Kabuto as a waiting servant who always smile under his obedient-line mask (face) so that one doesn't know about his innermost darkness

Jinchuuriki

edit

During the Gaara capture arc, the dialogues between Deidara and Sasori were foreshadowing that Kabuto was Sasori's subordinate as well as their next jinchuuriki target at the Heaven Bridge meeting. Kabuto was indeed at the Heaven Bridge meeting, but he came with the intent to kill Sasori.

Please discuss to reach consensus. Thanks. -- Samir धर्म 09:17, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for that. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to look at the title page of chapter 291. Still, the statement you keep trying to put in the article is not the same thing as what is written on that page. Let's compare:
  • You say - "The subtitle of the chapter 291 describes Kabuto as a waiting servant who always smiles under his obedient-line mask (face) so that one doesn't know about his innermost darkness"
  • Scanlation says - "Behind the obedient mask of this obliging servant lies a face with a never-ending smile. And lying deeper still, his true intentions remain unseen to all."
So, if you REALLY feel that that line needs to be in the article, maybe you should start quoting stuff correctly first. --Snapper2 01:15, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
This user is now claiming his translation to be better. That's even more reason not to add it. We approve of translations done by those who do so consistently and publicly. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 21:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think he's just trying to find a reason to continually edit this page so as to be an irritant, and to do so he's claiming to have better translations than everyone else. If his translations are better, he should be providing them as evidence. Instead however, when I asked for proof, he gave the above scanlation that is apparently inferior to his own. I repeat my earlier calling of shenanigans on this matter. --Snapper2 22:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kabuto is Richie's Evil Twin

edit

Kabuto has an uncanny resemblance to Richie, code-name "Gear," Static Shock's partner and best friend in the DC comics and animated cartoons. There is one big difference: Richie is righteous, Kabuto is evil. There is one minor difference: Kabuto has grey hair, Richie is a blond. Both have the same facial features, slight build, and a systematic scientific approach to life and to combat. Das Baz 15:13, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not this again. Just because two characters think alike and look somewhat similar doesn't mean one was based on the other. --Pentasyllabic 15:46, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I quite agree. I never said that either Richie is based on Kabuto or Kabuto on Richie. I said that they think alike (a methodical, scientific outlook) and look alike (almost identical twins, except for the hair color). Das Baz 16:31, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, Kabuto isnt truly evil. Read the manga, he does bad stuff, but also many good stuffs, even after he turned bad. Besides, what kind of bad-guy could be so cheerful when cleaning his dirty utensils.

Indeed, in the latest issue of Shonen Jump Kabuto heals Hinata of severe internal injuries, and apparently without any ulterior motive. He is more complex than I thought, and perhaps not as evil. However, the other argument is a non-sequitur. Evil villains may cheerfully clean up their things, "and smile, and smile, and be a villain." Das Baz 00:06, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kabuto using Kuchiyose?

edit

I'm not sure about the manga, but in the anime during the Sannin fight, I'm pretty sure it was Kabuto and not Orochimaru that summoned Manda (Orochimaru's arms being useless.) Kuchiyose removed by anon user --Pentasyllabic 17:33, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orochimaru was the one to perform the summon. Kabuto simply spread the blood on Orochimaru's arm. I think that tattoo removed Orochimaru's need to perform hand seals. He does the same thing in the Forest of Death. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 19:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Even in the Forest of Death, Orochimaru had to perform hand seals after placing blood on his tatoo. It appears he combined a wind element jutsu when Naruto was charging up to him in the forest. Dragonball1986
I think Kabuto did in fact summon the snakes because wasnt it his blood he used for the summon? In a summon, it doesnt matter where you place the blood for the summon, it just matters on who's blood it is(thus the reason for signing contracts with the animals in blood)and in this case, it was Kabuto's blood, showing that he must have signed a contract with the snakes as well , giving him the ability to summon them.24.185.163.37 17:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orochimaru summoned Manda as only kage can do that. He wouldn't have had to hold onto Orochimaru's arm if he summoned Manda; besides he was already low on chakra since he said he didn't have enough to fully heal himself and summoning a boss requires massive chakra. He spread the blood on Orochimaru's seal; and Orochimaru used his chakra to summon Manda; Kabuto simply helped out by placing his hand on the ground for the summon but it was only Orochimaru and his chakra that summoned him.

Who thinks I add a certain technique to Kabuto

edit

I believe that Kabuto is able to use Vanishing Facial Copy Technique due to the fact that when he used the Dead Soul Technique, he stitched his own face onto one of the ANBU Black Ops he had murdered. See: proof. HE even had it used in the anime, except with no stitches showing. In the Fuuma filler arc, Kabuto's face was being used to guise Kagerō. Watch that episode too as proof. Please answer A.S.A.P. so I can add the Vanishing Facial Copy Technique onto his jutsu list. Thanks, Kabuto Yakushi (User talk:Kabuto Yakushi) "I really think he can use it"

Vanishing Facial Copy makes one's face into a mask; If Kabuto made a mask for Kagero or the dead Anbu, he would be left without a face of his own. While he does have regenerative qualities, it's more-or-less instant death when you melt off your own face. And even with those restorative qualities, his face was whole when he escaped from Kakashi merely minutes later. In short, Kabuto's just skilled at manipulating faces, and either he or Orochimaru happens to have a mask modeled after Kabuto's face handy. 75.24.92.170 06:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kakashi said the face was urgically altered, not masked. Or Kabuto can heal his face and feaures really fast, too.

Not clear

edit

The part "Orochimaru has actually commented that Kabuto is even more cruel than himself on occasion, since he has a talent for convincing people to do potentially suicidal things without using force." under Loyalty section is not clear at all.

And I thing thar the sentence "Because of his complex nature and tendency to do good things, such as healing Hinata at the Chunin exam and healing Sakura after she was injured by a four-tailed Naruto, Kabuto has become a very mysterious character." have a minor error, he try to heal Sakura, he dont heal she. --KErosEnE 06:29, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not entierly sure I understand what you mean with "not clear", but I do believe that Orochimaru actually DID comment on Kabuto's twisted, manipulative nature when Kabuto made Kimimaro run off to assist in the retrieving of Sasuke... Umm, yes he did successfully heal Sakura... *double checks chapter 296* Yes he does. 217.208.26.15 22:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

That "he dont heal she" (sic) should be "he does not heal her" or "he does not manage to heal her." Das Baz, aka Erudil 17:01, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Loyalty

edit

Is it not possible to think that Kabuto just helps Orochi because he wants to get rid of Akatsuki, and then he plans to betray Orochi too? Kabuto seems to disobey Orochis orders when they don't fit him, like with Sasuke. He might just whant to make sure that his wishes come true.Jacce 18:52, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's possible, but it's also speculation. We can't add it. Retlor 02:24, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm with you there. I think Kabuto is working for Orochimaru for an entirely different reason then Orochimaru thinks. Like you said, this can be shown by situations in which he has disobeyed or hadnt trusted Orochimaru. However, we dont know for sure yet, but i assume we will find out.QuietDrive627 23:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hmm. Orochi doesn't have many loyal followers anymore... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.229.191.54 (talk) 13:50, 11 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

I think that kabuto is loyal to orochimaru because orochimaru trusted kabuto more than kabuto trusted oro. Second reason why orochi do not seem have much loyal people around him is because orochimaru prefer a person of questionable loyalty rather than a person of questionable competence. Third reason why Orochimaru also liked kabuto because of kabuto's field of skill and knowledge (being a medic-nin with great knowledge in science). This trait is important to orochimaru because oro is like a mad scientist with some degree of ailment (among them were his need to be nursed when he transfers to another body and his need for medications) and kabuto can serve as his doctor and lab assistant.

Okay, guys. Enough of the fan talk. This isn't the place for general discussion; that's what forums are for. Unless you have something that might help contribute to the article, don't bother using the talk page. // DecaimientoPoético 01:16, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Summoning Technique

edit

Ok I know this has been discussed before, but it seems there has been no resolution. I believe Kabuto is able to use Kuchiyose because when he and Orochimaru were battling tsunade and they summoned the snakes, it was in fact Kabuto's blood they used for the summons, was it not? When a creature is summoned, it requires blood of the one who summoned it, thus the reasoning for signing the contracts in blood, and since it was Kabuto's blood, that proves he can use Kuchiyose, so I think it should be added.24.185.163.37 17:50, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

He uses Orochimaru's blood. Read the chapter or watch the episode again. He doesn't have a contract with snakes that would allow him to summon snakes, let alone Manda, in the first place. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 17:55, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ooo I didn't know he used Orochimaru's blood. Ok it makes sense now.24.185.163.37 18:13, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speaking of the Kabuto/Orochimaru fusion thingy, I'd like to change this sentence at the end of Kabuto's personality section for certain reasons: "Despite his unclear motives, Kabuto seems to be content in following Orochimaru, even using his own body to recreate Orochimaru after his death." ... I thought that Kabuto's main point with integrating Orochimaru into his body was to surpass Orochimaru, not to go on serving him as above sentence implies... Well, waddaya think, should it be changed? 217.208.25.198 16:56, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Soul

How can Kabuto put Orochimaru's soul into his body?

I'm not sure that Kabuto has Orochimaru's soul, just some parts of Oros body.Jacce 17:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
It has been said in the Manga that Kabuto has transplanted Oro's body onto himself.

You have to remember, Kabuto is a highly skilled medical ninja and has been under Orochimaru's training and influence for years. Although the technique is unnamed, it is not impossible for Kabuto to do. I also highly doubt that Orochimaru had many remains and this transfiguration was brought upon by chakra remnants. Ch0zen1 01:46, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Remember when Rin surgically removed Obito's eye and implanted it into Kakashi's empty socket, all in about ten seconds? Well Kabuto is probably doubly more talented a medical ninja than she was. I doubt it was a terribly difficult thing for him to accomplish.

Merge

edit

I suggest that Kabuto gets merged to Land of Sound. Although he is a very notable charatcer, little information is given about him at this point, and alot of the article has uneeded information. The merge I made is something like this: User:Artist Formerly Known As Whocares, 21:00 (Eastern Standard Time), 1 August 2007 (UTC)

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Artist_Formerly_Known_As_Whocares/ItachiSandbox&oldid=148615414

I say Keep mostly because, to me he is in a similar boat as Itachi, where his importance has far outshined the others thus far. More to come as it comes to me. TheUltimate3 01:17, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Keep - After all, Kabuto will play a significant role later in the Shippuden Series because he will be a villan. He had threatened to kill Naruto after avenging Orochimaru's death. Also, we have suffice information on his history and abilities. Omghgomg 05:50, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
He will be playing an important role later, but we have no idea what extent his role will be, and we should concentrate on what we have now rather than what we will have later. And his article could easily be merged without going over 5,000 bytes of information. Itachi does have sufficient information for an article, while Kabuto's article lists many unneeded details that can be ignored or shortened. And take a look at my attepmt, no needed information was lost and sums him up just fine. User:Artist Formerly Known As Whocares, 11:11 (Eastern Standard Time), 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Keep because he will be important. Jazz Band Member 16:54, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Itachi and Kabuto are of equal importance and both are equally capable of being merged. Don't let your personal opinion tell you otherwise. ~SnapperTo 19:28, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
