Talk:Kabalistic Laws

This is completely unsourced (see WP:CITE) and quite a random collection. Without sources (e.g. Zohar) this rapidly becomes meaningless. Some "Laws" predate the popularization of Kabbalah and are regarded as Kabbalistic because they have later been explained according to Kabbalah. I'm not sure what to make of this page. It's still a hodgepodge, and it's growing. There is a big difference between dinim cited in the Shulkhan Arukh which may have Kabbalistics reasons (which the Beth Yosef will cite, or will be provided by the Acharonim), and minhagim ("customs") that may be based on Kabbalistic thought. Without sources, this article is going nowhere, and I'll thinking about AFD.

It is almost impossible to seperate between "rational" and "Kabbalistic" halakha. Take the tying of the shoelaces. Mentioned in the Talmud, yet regarded as "Kabbalistic" by many people. JFW | T@lk 20:17, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
