False information
editIt appears from the history that false information is being added by Sittaconde and several unregistered editors. If this apparent vandalism is really genuine, could the editors please explain the contradictions in their edits. Similar false edits have been made by these editors to the Sierra Leone and other related pages in Wikipedia. dbfirs 17:58, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I have inserted the attestable 1985 census data for the population, but left the 2004 estimate for now. I propose to remove this estimate if there is no evidence for its accuracy. Is this ok? It would be useful to have a more recent estimate, but not one which is a wild guess, and which gets changed apparently randomly by users who have previously been blocked. dbfirs 14:41, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- An anonymous editor is changing figures again. Why? Is it user:Sittaconde who has been blocked for other reasons?
Does anyone know of any genuine figures since the 1985 census? Estimates vary widely! Dbfirs 07:33, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- (later) Thanks to Kaly99 for finding a more detailed analysis of the 2004 census. This (see ref1 on page) provides official figures for most towns in Sierra Leone, so it becomes the definitive source. Dbfirs 12:40, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Anonymous editors have now inserted false figures that contradict their claimed reference. Why?
