Disambiguation

edit

Important! There seems to be a name collision between Ka'ula (volcano) and Kaula (Indian spiritual school). The discussion page of Ka'ula is directed into the discussion page of Kaula. Can anyone separate them? I don't know how, short of renaming one of the articles. Visarga 05:37, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

And another problem has come up. Kaula also refers to the Hawaiian textile art of cordage. Viriditas (talk) 01:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

POV

edit

In 1978, over the objection of the U.S. Navy, the state of Hawaii claimed ownership of Kaʻula and named the island a State Seabird Sanctuary. A final determination of ownership has not yet been made, and the Navy still uses the southeast point of the island as a target range.

A serious breach of POV. This is written from the POV of the Navy. Viriditas (talk) 04:24, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Adding birds and plants, who can't be here to represent themselves. Viriditas (talk) 04:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Adding significance of the island to Native Hawaiians, who aren't yet extinct. Viriditas (talk) 04:32, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
