KTSA: additional information to add; some information posted was inaccurate edit

KTSA was owned by Gordon McLendon for many years until December, 1967 (not 1965 as the article indicates), when it was sold to Bernard "Bernie" Waterman of Massachusetts. Mr. J.E. "Jim" Hamby was the general manager of KTSA for most of the 1960s until it was sold to Mr. Waterman. Jim Hamby was the one who hired Ricci Ware, now in the Radio Hall of Fame, who was a popular disc jockey and radio host. KTSA played the "Top 55" music hits as the station was located at 55 AM on the dial. They did offer their yearly Easter Egg Hunt with prize eggs each year for several years. Hamby also continued Gordon McLendon's policy of making editorials from time to time, and offering equal time for those who wanted to present opposing view points.

As far as I can remember, KTSA was NOT on any FM stations in the 1960s, or at least, not as long as Gordon McLendon owned the station until the end of 1967. I do not ever recall KTSA being on the FM dial in the 60s; it was strictly an AM station at 550 on the dial.
