Disambiguation

edit

Contrary to the edit summary by Mlaffs, I don't think a disambiguation page is necessary. It is only necessary to have a disambiguation page when there are 3 or more articles with the same name.

Instead, as the 2 stations have different but similar callsigns, and are owned by the same organization, the FM station is mentioned in the first paragraph of the main KRVN/NRRA article (the AM station).

It's true that disambiguation pages are used when there are 3 or more terms needing to be disambiguated. However, as outlined in WP:DAB, a disambiguation page is also the preferred solution when there are only two terms that need disambiguation and neither of them can easily be considered to be the primary term. I'd argue that's the case here, as it is also the case on the 2000 or so similar disambiguation pages for radio/TV station call signs. Many of these pages are for situations where only an AM and FM, AM and TV, or FM and TV station share the same base call letters, as is the case here. Mlaffs (talk) 04:20, 28 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I won't make any more changes to that unless the consensus changes. Thanks for your patience. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 14:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
