I propose merging KLIA Transit (this article) with KLIA Ekspres as they're both essentially the same rail service. KLIA Transit can be made to be a section of the KLIA Ekspres article as KLIA Ekspress is the "proper" name of this rail service as a whole. --Pavithran (talk) 18:16, 9 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Another duplicate article is Express Rail Link. Merge proposed for that one too. – S. Rich (talk) 01:16, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I second that. Express Rail Link should be the main article. The service can be divided into two which is KLIA Transit and KLIA Ekspres. Changes should be made on Rail transport in Malaysia by removing KLIA Tansit and KLIA Ekspres, replace with Express Rail Link. Tafeax (talk) 18:57, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Disagree. While they may have the same fares which is the only common link, they have the same destination but they arrive at different places within KL Sentral, they are purpose built for very different purposes, they run from different platforms, have a different schedule (in terms of stops), KL City Air Terminal serves only the KL Ekspress where as you have to walk to the other side for the KL Transit [1] [2] and if i am not mistaken, you cannot use the ticket of one for the other. Whenever i have travelled to either KLIA or KLIA 2, there is no way i will want to take the KL Transit (this is my personal opinion). Hence they must be kept separate.Superfast1111 (talk) 16:39, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Actual Fare edit

Is it wise to include actual fare (35 ringgit) as this is liable to change during the lifetime of Wikipedia? Euchiasmus 22:01, 25 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

If there is an increase in the fare at a later date,we can just change it, isn't it? Wikipedia is meant to be updated every now and then. What do u think? Zack2007 24:01, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Yeah, I agree with Zack2007. If the fares were to change, we can easily change it here. Besides, putting up information of fares would be an aid to travellers. --Pavithran 14:26, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is this fare table correct? 35 ringgit from KL Sentral to KLIA if you stay in the system, but 15.70 ringgit from KL Sentral to KLIA if you exit the system at Putrajaya and re-enter? Thisisnotatest (talk) 13:25, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • This is correct. You will end up paying less than half the price but you will add about 30 minutes to your travel time because of the train schedule. --Pavithran (talk) 18:14, 9 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edited edit

I've edited the article to be cleaner. I've also removed references to the service as a High Seed Rail service. High Speeds trains are trains that operate at commercial speeds above 200km/h. KLIA Transit and KLIA Ekspress can do a maximum of 170km/h and operate commercially at 160km/h. --Pavithran 15:15, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

this is from High Speed Rail article. I do believe 160 km/h is considered high speed rail in Malaysia. Please revert back. Thank you. --Zack2007 01:30, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Price still 35 ringgit as at May 2014. However Malaysian Seniors for reduced fare purposes, now have to be 55 (not 50 as shown). (Disabled and KADS1M Student card holders also get discount) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.25.30.52 (talk) 15:23, 2 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
