Talk:KKNG-FM

I see no mention of the long history of KKNG as a classical music station serving the OKC area. I don't know any useful factual history from that era myself other than that it was my grandmother's favorite station when I was about 5 or 6. The folks running the callsign at that time also used "King" prominently in their interstitial spots. I'm 42 now and my grandmother is 102. She doesn't listen to the radio any more, perhaps because the present KKNG doesn't play enough Hank Williams ;)

Most of KKNG's history is missing--this article is really following the broadcast frequency 97.3, not the call sign KKNG. For the vast majority of its history, KKNG was on a different frequency (93.3 FM) as an "easy listening" station, switching to a classic country format in the late '90s or early 2000s. In 2010, they swapped frequencies with the station known as JakeFM (previously 97.3FM).. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.243.122.161 (talk) 17:24, 3 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
