Talk:KDB (database)

don't delete. useful.

I also agree. Please do not delete. It is useful to the finance community to know about these things. Just remove any content that appears to be solely commercial.

There wouldn't be much left - a couple of sentences I think - not enough to require a separate page. I think a better approach is to describe the space in general and compare the offerings from major competitors - KX, Vhayu, Apama, Aleri, Streambase, etc. (also, please sign your comments - just add four tildas to the end, thanks) Ronnotel 20:20, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well a bit more than two sentences. Some of it is pure marketing, but much of it makes substantive points with a marketing gloss. The former can be deleted, but the latter just needs to be rewritten. Still, this could be folded into the entry on K. Also I'm all for an entry that describes this space. But I'm not too sure what the name of the entry, "Really Fast Applications for Financial Data" sums it up but isn't quite Wikipdedia style. It would also be a lot of work: there are very few citeable references that are not either proprietary or marketing white papers. Abcarter 09:18, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well - I've started high frequency computing. Does that describe this space fairly accurately? Ronnotel 13:42, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
