I request you to go through the references and then decide. Also substantiate what you mean by mentions seem minor and run-of-the-mill.
- A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. WP:BASIC - Passes

- WP:OSE. Elections get reported upon and so any sources relating to that are trivial. Useful to mention, but not an aid to meeting the notability requirements. The other stuff is vague polticking involving accusation and counter-accusation, which is also breathlessly reported in India due to the extreme levels of corruption (only 60 per cent of the Lok Sabha are or have faced such charges in the media) and thus also trivial. Find some sources that discuss her achievements and career, or some that the critique them. - Sitush (talk) 09:40, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
