With copy changes done, just a question about ref [8] and a suggestion to improve [93]. That's it. Ping when done. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 16:13, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Did [93] but I don't know about [8]. Jurong East is on the Clementi-Lakeside stretch. I think the source could either be replaced with another one or elaborate on it. You'll get pinged once it's done. What do you think @ZKang123? --Imbluey2. Please ping me so that I get notified of your response 03:34, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think there should be a map somewhere, but then I just added ref 7 which showed the segment of Clementi-Lakeside which include Jurong.--ZKang123 (talk) 06:49, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think that should be sufficient enough. What about you @Sammi Brie? Imbluey2. Please ping me so that I get notified of your response 12:25, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you — I've been super busy with RL matters. The map in the added source solves my problem. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 13:49, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Did you know? If you fancy doing so, I always have plenty of GA nominees to review. Just look for the all-uppercase titles in the Television section. Reviews always appreciated.

Copy changes

  • and would be built maybe "to be built" to avoid WP:INTOTHEWOULDS
  • Jurong Town station was renamed to Jurong in September 1984, and later renamed to Jurong East in March 1987. Try the less verbose Jurong Town station was renamed to Jurong in September 1984 and to Jurong East in March 1987.
  • Maybe "brought forward" instead of "pushed earlier" or "pushed forward"?
  • An opening ceremony was held at the station to inaugurate 6.4-kilometre (4.0 mi) MRT extension missing an article (a or the) after "inaugurate"
  • installation half-height platform screen doors missing "of"
  • fully-automatic generally, adverbs do not get hyphenated
  • branch line consisting of 7 stations spell out seven
  • However, the restrictions on construction due to the COVID-19 pandemic has not "restrictions ... has" — should be "have"
  • Maybe spell out "NSEWL"
  • Surrounding landmarks of the station include: Remove unnecessary colon.
  • "Entitled as" should just be "Entitled"

Did the above changes.--ZKang123 (talk) 02:07, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing and spot checks

edit
  • 8: I don't see a mention of Jurong in the Clementi–Lakeside stretch article. Does another article have it?
  • 31 and 32: Suspensions of train service for JEMP.  Y
  • 34: CNA story on 27 May planned opening of platform.  Y
  • 48: LTA release: LTA, together with our public transport operators, have been conducting Exercise Station Guard since February 2018 to validate our security measures, contingency plans and operational readiness at public transport nodes during heightened security situations.  Y
  • 51: 1998 Straits Times article on study of Jurong region line.  Y
  • 60: COVID-19 has unfortunately affected the progress of the construction of the JRL, because of manpower crunch, disruption to supplies and the need for strict safe management measures at work sites. The estimated delay is about a year, which means that JRL will now open in phases from 2027 to 2029.  Y
  • 61: Award of contract to Daelim.  Y (Add a publisher to the metadata)
  • 78: J-Walk map guidelines (one of the pages has an actual map).  Y

Can we get an actual title on 93 instead of a file name?

Earwig catches some names of places and stations as well as "contract for the construction of", hardly original.
