Recent and continued vandalism of this page edit

Repeated vandalism has been occuring to this page to pedal particular agendas regarding the King's Event. The latest vandalism read

"At King's Event, working on the committee is described as a : "Little known source of slave labour for those members of college too poor to buy a real ticket or gullible enough to be roped in." (an Anonymous source.)

- The fantastic security arrangements and provisions for staff workers at the 2004 ball have become a fundamental part of Cambridge University mythology.

- Some people have been criticised in the past for taking end of term parties too seriously."

The IP address responsible for these edits resolve to two Cambridge students, Jen Goffin and Sarah McKay who served on the committee of the 2004 King's Event King's Event 2004 from archive.org

The last point was added to the vandalism on the latest edit - presumably in response to this email I sent:

"Dear Jen,

I'm sending you this email because anonymous edits by IP 128.232.241.170 (which resolves to your CRSID) to the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Event on wikipedia are not in keeping with Wikipedia's style and purpose.

If these edits were not conducted by you, my apologies for troubling you.

However, the editor seem to have an axe to grind against the workload required of the committee. However, the editor seems to also appreciate the security arrangements for the 2004 Event. As you were served as the security officer for the 2004 event it seems highly unlikely that these edits are not your responsibility.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, it is not the place to air your personal grievances. Please refrain from future unconstructive edits.

If you continue to make these edits, I will request that your IP address is blocked.

Sincerely,

Mike Morley"

I have left appropriate edits on the anonymous users' talk pages and if vandalism occurs again, I will add both users to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism
