Junc Gallery was one of the first contemporary art galleries to exhibit a style of art known as "Lowbrow" or "Post Illustration" as such it was a pioneer giving a platform and inspiring a new culture of galleries and artists who have gone on to notable careers including many artist already recognized by Wikipedia such as Paper Rad and Futurefarmers and others who have go on to show at the Los Angeles Museum of Art and the Venice Biennial. Professionals familiar with this now mainstream art movement know Junc Gallery's position as a leader showcasing important artists early in their careers. Wikipedias primary advantage over the traditional encyclopedias is the democratic contributions of noteworthy subjects before they are "rediscovered" by scholars. In order to complete a complete model of subjects like this art movement it is important to be able trace their origins. In addition Junc Gallery has mainstream recognition to give it credibility some of which as has been cited although the page is not yet complete and additional information and references are being added.

WP is not a catalog of artists, and the list is inappropriate. What would be appropriate is a list of the notable artists who have exhibited there, where "notable" is defined as having an article in WP. It can also include those obviously qualified for one, by works in major museums or extensive critical discussion-- see WP:CREATIVE -- but the best way to dealwith them is to write the articles on the artists and see if they get accepted. I leaveit to you to check WPfor each artist, and removethose without articles. DGG ( talk ) 21:30, 25 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
