Lack of references edit

There are no citations in the text of the article. The external links are very skimpy. One link is to an interview with Ronald Reagan conducted by Julius Hunter. This tells us nothing about Hunter beyond the fact that he was in a position to interview Reagan. The second link is to coverage of Hunter's appointment to the St. Louis Police Commission. While the appointment is noteworthy, it is not sufficient to establish Hunter's notability under WP guidelines. The third link leads to the St. Louis Public Library, but I was unable to find anything about Hunter on the site. This article fails BLP guidelines, and may be subject to deletion if sources sufficient to establish Hunter's notability are not found and added to the article. - Donald Albury 16:00, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I started working on rewriting this rather bloated article today and I've added a few citations. It still needs more of each; I'll start citing each claim or removing it. I believe the subject, or at least one of his books, passes notability.--DiamondRemley39 (talk) 03:18, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Update: I've used sources already given, found others, and looked at his memoir, TV One-on-One, to provide inline citations. Anything I could not cite was removed. This includes the list of awards--I believe it is Wikipedia practice to only include awards that have been covered by media; correct me if I am wrong on this. The article is less self-congratulatory and focuses on the subject's career rather than his "greatest hits" as an interviewer.--DiamondRemley39 (talk) 16:58, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
