Meldrick Taylor was looking at his cornerman when Steele asked the question are you ok. Steele immediately waved the fight off. Steele waved it off to quickly.
The fact that there were only 12 seconds remaining did not matter. Taylor was up quickly after the knockdown and coherent.
I've added some information and images that I thin add a lot to this entry, mostly to telling about the careers of Chavez, Taylor and Steele after the bout. I've also corrected a few details about the fight itself.

The request to rename this article to Julio César Chávez vs. Meldrick Taylor has been carried out. |
Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor → Julio César Chávez vs. Meldrick Taylor – More precise name for Julio César Chávez. 82.170.113.123 (talk) 20:06, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support uncontroversial, all Spanish-language name/article titles are spelled using Spanish spelling on en.wp, per reasoning at current Talk:Santa Maria de Ovila RM and previous RMs etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:09, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Request withdrawn Actually, after reading through Talk:Santa Maria de Ovila and User:Prolog/Diacritical marks#Persons (essay), and then searching Google Books for "Julio Cesar Chavez" and looking through the first six pages of results, I've decided to withdraw my request. I'm reverting to a more neutral stance. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 09:35, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
