Request for deletion edit

Mr Marc Cormier Miquelon an internet militant activist, is trying to delete the Julien Balkany's wikipedia page. Julien Balkany is a businessman (elected as the #1 hedge fun manager under 30 by Trader magazine in 2008) and an electoral candidate for France's overseas election of 2012. This page is very sourced by lot of US and french press articles (NY Post, L'Express, Trader Magazine etc..). Miquelon is trying to delete the page for an electoral question only. Wikipedia isn't the place for an electoral campaign, unfortunately that's what is doing Miquelon who's thinking which candidate could have a wikipedia page or not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xelbaz (talkcontribs) 06:13, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hedge fund manager and candidate for election are not sufficient for notoriety. Whilst M Elbaz is correct, I am certainly involved in political activities, I am very adamant about not having Wikipedia used for such hagiographies. I have done the same for two other prospective candidates, including one not even in this electoral district. Wikipedia need not become the canvas for unelected olitical hopefuls. 190.194.215.36 (talk) 12:34, 8 March 2012 (UTC) - Miquelon (talk) 12:36, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
* Does not meet notability requirements for politician. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Politicians Miquelon (talk) 12:49, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
* Does not meet basic requirements for notability as a biography. Award mentioned and sourced does not qualify (Trader magazine). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Any_biography Miquelon (talk) 12:54, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
"A few years ago, a magazine called Trader Monthly popularized a ranking of the "Top Traders Under 30."  In those days, successful traders were a dime a dozen and celebrating dynastic wealth was much in vogue, so the magazine's list was a favorite on Wall Street." Requests for deletion undermined by user Xelbaz edit

I have requested the deletion of this page twice as M Balkany does not meet notoriety criteria as either electoral candidate for France's overseas election of 2012, nor as a businessman. The user Xelbaz whose handle is close to Xavier Elbaz, is a known member of M Balkany's Electoral campaign. He has removed requests for deletion without justification. Legitimacy of contributors edit

This article has been essentially written by three users whose contributions to wikipedia are meek to say the least : xelbaz, pij7777, wikilive1 It is my firm belief they are in violation of neutrality and have only contributed to this hagiography of a political candidate. French version deleted edit

The French language version of this page has been deleted as M Balkany does not meet notoriety criteria. See: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julien_Balkany Miquelon (talk) 04:33, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
