Talk:Jugular vein

This article, along with many other biology ones, needs to be dumbed down. Often people come to wikipedia not knowing anything about a topic, so making them look up every other word makes this an unuseful resource. Supertigerman 02:17, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Have a look at the so-called cultural references. Just how dumb do you want it? --OhNoPeedyPeebles (talk) 16:05, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The reference to Malarchuck is a common mistake as evidenced by the first "source", but it shouldn't be continued in this article. The jugular veins return oxygenated blood to the heart, as this article says. The problem here is that Malarchuck's injury was to his carotid artery. The blood was much darker than the oxygenated blood that would result from a jugular vein injury, and most importantly the blood spurts from his neck. This is a definite sign of an arterial bleed, whereas if it were his jugular veins the blood would simply ooze.SeeThisThrough (talk) 22:56, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The image is not correct! That is the femoral bone and the hip joint! Please make the necessary corrections.
