Assessing notability edit

I've been asked by Premeditated Chaos on my talk page to assess the notability of this article.

  • 1, 6, and 9 (china.com, China Daily, qq.com) aren't identical, but pretty close to being identical. Most of it's a how-to guide about taking care of the plant, so I question the independence of those sources. I'm not familiar with the reliability of Mainland China's sources, though China Daily is no consensus at WP:RSP. Significant coverage is there though.
  • 3 and 4 are the same thing, which is just a list by the government of when the plant was registered as a new species. No significant coverage. 2 is dead but I'm guessing from that title that it's the same thing or similar.
  • 5 is dead, which is sad because the title seemed promising.
  • The best part: out of the remaining sources (that aren't dead), none of them are about the species itself, but rather are about walnut trees in general. In the cite templates, each article title is just appended with "紫京" to make it look like it's about the species. Crummy.

Non-notable, would !vote delete.  Ganbaruby! (talk) 06:13, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
