Should node.js be listed in factbox
editNode.js has been run by a foundation since before 4.0, and it specifically was a community decision to exit Joyent's stewardship; this was accomplished through a fork (io.js). I think it's misleading to list Node.js as "a Joyent product". --Sigmundur (talk) 09:28, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- They can be said to have 'sponsored' node.js for awhile, but then (perhaps after one of the many changes in Joyent leadership?) they used that position to nearly sabotage node.js, its governance, and any contributors that happened not to work for Joyent. They are not "in good odor" in the node.js community, and to see this in the article is like seeing a claim that Napolean made Russia a success. Shenme (talk) 21:57, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
