Untitled edit

I would like to have an entry on Wikipedia on this author of spiritual books.

Neat. In what specific way does he meet the notability criteria? What reliable sources- like newspaper and magazine articles about him- will you be adding to verify the information in the article? -FisherQueen (Talk) 16:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

There are a number of internet sites where the importance of this author for the spiritual movement has been documented. I'll enclose them in the references section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DonBabbage (talkcontribs) 16:22, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Biography edit

When I started writing this article, I was not aware of the WikiProject Biography. Any way to include it there? Or would it make sense at all at this stage?

More Detail Please edit

How did this man die? He appeared to be a young man. Was it sickness? An accident? Are causes still a mystery? What about his personal life? Please give us more details about him otherwise this entry reads like a big ad for the I AM University. Logrider 18:35, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Using iamuniversity.org as a source edit

Examining this website (http://www.drjoshuadavidstone.com redirects there) it appears to be unclear as to any affiliations or official recognition, I have found none so far. The website is registered in an anonymous manner (no named individual on the registration database) though with a UK phone number and an anonymous PO box in Austria. It may be an elaborate con for people to pay for the "correspondence course". There is no mention of this site in LexisNexis in any published newspaper or magazine and no mention in the Google News archive. Consequently this cannot be considered in any way a reliable source and should not be used to substantiate statements in the article. If nobody can be bothered to provide a rationale as to why this website is valid and can satisfy the guidance of WP:RS or WP:SPS then I shall remove references to it.—Ash (talk) 11:51, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Using spiritual.com.au as a source or link edit

This site fails WP:SPS and WP:ELNO as it is a self promotional website apparently existing for commission links and obvious spam sites (such as linking directly to www.000relationships.com and autopilotriches.com). The site has a personal registration certificate to Aymen Fares with a freebie email address of aymens.account@gmail.com. No other information is provided on the web registration. This site should not be referenced or linked.—Ash (talk) 08:46, 11 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Using religionandspirituality.com as a source or link edit

The site takes submissions for publication on the website from anyone rather than real journalists (see http://www.religionandspirituality.com/write_for_us ). The site may include biased and unverified articles and cannot be considered a reliable source. The relevant terms of the website are under http://religionandspirituality.com/terms/ where it states "You understand that R&S does not control and is not responsible for any Postings on the website". Consequently the site fails the requirements of WP:RS unless the author is writing about themselves, in which case the requirements of WP:SELFPUB apply.

This site has been discussed at Wikipedia:RSN#religionandspirituality.com with the same consensus conclusions.—Ash (talk) 17:52, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
