This article needs expansion overall, but especially in the introduction. There have been a lot of American generals throughout history, and this stubby introduction sentence tells us absolutely nothing else about Gen Ralston. When did he live? Which conflicts did he take part in? Why is he significant or notable? All of that, at the absolute minimum, should be in the introduction. LordAmeth 17:28, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

SuperWIKI, I found the source for one of the picture LemonJuice added with the caption "Lieutenant General Joseph Ralston Flying an F-15 Eagle". The PDF (and others like it) may be the source for other pictures LJ added, with odd captions. I'm guessing they're government work & public domain. I added the PDF as a cite for the first paragraph of "Career" since it contains the particulars of his entire military career. The picture is on page 289.
