The musician edit

Without prejudice to eventual creation of an article on him (which would require a Dab entry) i'm removing the red-/blue-link entry

* Joe McBride (musician), keyboardist and singer, see For All We Know (1970 song)

There is no mention of him in the song's article; his having covered the song would not be anything relevant be as irrelevant to supporting a Dab entry any more than as any non-notable artist's covers of notable songs would successfully: it fails to hitch their wagons to the corresponding stars. Nor could the reference to him in Ladysmith Black Mambazo serve in its place: he should not be linked where from the part of their article that links them to well-known 1st-world artists, since the effect of those blue links is to demonstrate or exemplify the band's success in broadening the scope of their career; we've no hint of his notability, and listing him there is irrelevant unless to their topic until there is real evidence of his notability, and worse, by being there it unjustifiably hints at his notability on his part. Instead of inviting editors to write about him by getting him a Dab entry, how about someone writing a stub on him that would let us start building a basis for deciding whether he has achieved WP's standard of notability? If that can survive our deletion process, then yes, he can have an entry. As of now, he has not satisfied WP:DabRL.

I also took a look at his uncle's article, which links to him. It cites an external page that mentions a band Joe's been in, and we 'had an article abt that band, whose deletion discussion reeks of non-notability; the citing of the band does nothing to establish his notability, and its being cited may suggest how non-notable Joe is.
