Children and descendants
editI propose removing most of the "children" and "descendants" sections. Wikipedia is not a directory, and genealogical entries are not our purpose. None of the children and grandchildren are themselves notable, and there's no indication that their marriages or the grandchildren were of any relevance to Judson himself. If that's desired, we can list the children and their dates of birth, but the in-laws and the grandchildren take it too far.
Regarding the descendants, Gerald Ford is of course notable, but the connection is extremely remote. David Judson isn't notable himself, and that Joseph's grandchild built a house is hardly relevant to Joseph. Huon (talk) 17:23, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- There will be more additional noteworthy descendants added. Please see Gov. Thomas Welles page which has taken much time to build. The Judson house was built by William and subsequently owned and lived in by Joseph Judson until his death. Please give me time to add the pertinent historical information. Sometimes people can act like a mother hen and actually smother new life instead of nurturing and protecting it.Tomticker5 (talk) 18:57, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- @Tomticker5 I am researching Judson would like to update and conform this article to the suggestions above, as well as adding an info box.
Re-wrote whole article following suggestions of 4 April 2011
editI rewrote the article following the suggestions of 4 April 2011. Additional sources were added, old sources were checked and removed if pages were wrong, and the "genealogical entries" feel was corrected. Diogenes99 (talk) 02:45, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
