Joseph is a consummate professional with an extraordinarily talented band. When i first saw them at Galileo in Nairobi in december 2012, it was astonishing to see them rotate instruments: bass switched to drums, drums to flute, etc. absolutely remarkable, as you might expect from a man of such prodigious talent and drive. Guest singers were also superb. The only musician not to rotate was the brilliant guitarist Eddie, whose pizzicato often underpins a tune's structure exquisitely.

Joseph's 'eclectic', jazzy mix of melody, dance rhythm, gorgeous lyrics and afro beats is utterly sublime.

Joseph's talent is not surprisingly, called on by no lesser edifice than the University of Cambridge music department.
