Wiesenthal? edit

This article suggests that one Kurt Schrimm was responsible for catching Scwammberger. Can anyone shed more light on this? --Ebz (talk) 09:32, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I see where you are heading here Ebz123. I did not find any resources yet that says Simon Wiesenthal was responsible for catching Schwammberger. The resources point to the Simon Wiesenthal Center playing a big part in the capture. So I changed this sentence from the Schwammberger article: "The main person responsible for bringing him to justice was Simon Wiesenthal", which was a mischaracterization. I haven't found out anything about Kurt Schrimm yet. Let me keep looking. I did find a reference to Nazi-hunter Elliot Welles though as playing a part in the capture and extradition of Schwammberger. Not just SS member edit

Schwammberger was a commander of the different labour camps eg. Roswadowice, Przemysl, Mielec in the occupied by Germans territory of Poland. He was very cruel and killed many Jews. See the book “The real Odessa” by Uni Goni.

Oh, lets take up any rumor and allegation and declare it the truth, if it isn't persuasively disputed. Wikipedia has gone down in terms of quality over the years, when it comes to subjects apparently still a bit loaded.--105.12.7.74 (talk) 08:39, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
