What needs improvement on this page? (unsigned, Deej30, 22:25, 19 March 2006)

Nothing, it's perfect! I love the quotes/catchphrases next to his characters, it's especially funny seeing "Mmm, mmm, mmm" in text.

I suppose the "First Appearance" and "Catch Phrase" column could do with being filled up, but that's a lot of work for anyone who isn't interested re-watching it, which is no-one so it should be easy. 81.104.217.234 (talk) 11:55, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

The Breadwinner?

FYI, 188.28.186.121 added The Breadwinner to Template:Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele without explanation. I removed The Breadwinner from that Template for the following reasons:

  • I don't see The Breadwinner in wikipedia's Jordan Peele nor Keegan-Michael Key articles.
  • IMDb credits page for The Breadwinner doesn't mention neither Key nor Peele.
  • The closest I can come up with (for a Breadwinner credit) is a piece at www.firstpost.com which says "executive produced by Jolie along with Mimi Polk Gitlin and Jordan Peele, reported Variety", but I found the Variety article and it makes no mention of Peele. So I suspect firstpost.com may have accidentally included text from an unrelated article. --EarthFurst (talk) 20:25, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Jordan's Monkeypaw Productions?

Why does the article not mention Monkeypaw Productions? (which Jordan Peele founded) --EarthFurst (talk) 08:15, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

Changing "actor" in occupation.

I'm presenting it here before I get yelled at. As Jordan announced he is retiring from acting, should he now be described as "former actor"? Here's a source.[1]Trillfendi (talk) 15:28, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

I disagree, his works still exist and he's acted in them. Would a writer who hasn't written anything in years (say, if a J. D. Salinger type were still alive) be a "former writer"? It should remain in the lede and his career section can contain a sentence about this announcement. JesseRafe (talk) 21:22, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

Section splitting proposal

I'm proposing the "awards and nominations" section be split into a separate article. I think that section is long enough and takes up enough of the page's current length to be annoying to read. Shuipzv3 (talk) 12:11, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Adding Epic Rap Battles of History to Jordan Peele's wikipedia page

I understand that Epic Rap Battles of History (or ERB for short) is not necessarily the most prestigious of shows, especially for an Oscar-winning director like Jordan Peele, who has had a long career. But I think we should add this fact to Jordan Peele's Biography (in the main summary and/or at least in the 2010 - 2016 section of the career section). The amount of people ERB reaches is quite amazing. None of their videos have under 2 million views and they have around 7 videos that break 100 million (their most has 156 million). The entire ERB channel has 3,851,675,798 views compared to the Key & Peele youtube channel's 1,676,736,132. ERB has reached 2,174,939,670 more people than Key & Peele on youtube. In 2018, the year Peele won an Oscar, the Oscars got 26.5 Million viewers, which is less than one of ERB's less popular videos "Frederick Douglass vs Thomas Jefferson"(2016) with 29,942,683 views. In addition, if we look at specifically the video Jordan Peele was in, "Gandhi vs Martin Luther King Jr" got 87,354,132 views, and "Michael Jordan vs Muhammad Ali" got 58,760,236 views for a combined total of 146,114,386. Peele's Oscar win for Best Screenplay had fewer people watching than either of his ERB appearances. If we look at the trailers for Jordan Peele's 3 movies he's directed (Get Out, Us, and Nope) they get a cumulative 75,249,427 views, which is less than ERB's video starring Peele "Gandhi vs Martin Luther King Jr". The current most viewed video on the Key & Peele channel is "Key & Peele - Pawn Shop" with 28,515,569 views, which is 30,244,667 views less than ERB's video starring Peele "Michael Jordan vs Muhammad Ali". While "Substitute Teacher - Key & Peele" on the Comedy Central Youtube channel has 204,900,114 views which is more than ERB's most viewed video "Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney" that has 156,365,730 views, the next most viewed Key & Peele sketch "Auction Block" only has 60,864,168 views, which is less than the number of views that "Gandhi vs Martin Luther King Jr"(starring Peele) which has 87,354,132 views. These two ERB videos have reached millions of people, and they have reached more people than any of Jordan Peele's trailers, Oscar win, and most of his Key & Peele sketches on youtube. In addition, while ERB isn't as serious as the Oscars, it has to still been nominated and won awards. in 2013 (the year Peele starred) ERB was nominated for 5 Streamy awards and won 4 of them, and it was nominated for 2 youtube music awards. In 2014 it was nominated for 5 Streamy Awards and won 3. In 2015 it was nominated for 4 Streamy Awards and won all of them and it was nominated for an award by the Producers Guild of America. In 2016 it was again nominated for an award by the producers guild, and it was nominated for an Primetime Emmy and another Streamy. In 2017 it was again nominated for an Emmy. I get it. Epic Rap Battles of History is not the most distinguished of content. But It has won multiple awards and has been nominated for Emmys and Producer Guild Awards. ERB has reached Hundreds of Millions of people on Youtube, on youtube they have reached more people than Key & Peele (which funnily enough Key & Peele has been applauded for making it big on YouTube with clips). I have multiple friends who have never seen a Key & Peele clip or watched Get Out, but know both of Peele's appearances in ERB and know a lot of the lyrics too (I know that it doesn't do a lot by saying that, because I could be lying, but I thought I might as well mention it to help prove my point). I'm here because I want to make a case for ERB to be added to Jordan Peele's biography. After all, ERB has won awards and has reached millions of people, and I think it's finally time to add it to Peele's biography because I can't see why it doesn't deserve to be on there. I suggest at least one mention in either the top summary or in the 2010 - 2016 section of the Career section (preferably both). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Torrieth (talkcontribs) Torrieth (talk) 02:29, 7 March 2022 (UTC) 02:16, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
