Jordan MaronCaptainSparklez – Clear WP:COMMONNAME. Maron is most commonly referred to by his online pseudonym "CaptainSparklez". By looking at the Google Trends results for both search terms, it can be seen that, over the last 12 months, "CaptainSparklez" has been searched worldwide far more than "Jordan Maron" has. This clearly shows that "CaptainSparklez" is the name that Maron is most commonly known by. Strugglehouse (talk) 15:25, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Adding to this. All of the references used on this page refer to Maron as "CaptainSparklez", with a lot referring to him solely by this name, without even mentioning his real name. Strugglehouse (talk) 16:54, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Support once again. Posted this nearly two years ago but my position still stands. CaptainSparklez fits all of the criteria for WP:COMMONNAME, and a large majority of sources that refer to him under his alias also demonstrate this. PantheonRadiance (talk) 19:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sure. No opposition. SWinxy (talk) 22:47, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Support Per Strugglehouse and PantheonRadiance. — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 01:09, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Support. The sources very clearly indicate that this is the common name. The Night Watch (talk) 00:39, 24 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Will be doing this review. My first comment is that it appears the article has addressed all concerns that were brought up during the first review before it entered limbo state. As such, I don't think this review will take too long and will likely be fairly short, as several concerns were already addressed. Nonetheless, I'll take my own look at this shortly. NegativeMP1 21:11, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review. I'm also really sorry for the wait on Otxo. — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 04:19, 7 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
You're good, we all get busy sometimes and I've had to wait longer before. I will say that I did find it somewhat funny that right after setting my Discord nickname to track my GANs, where I set it to 1, it went down to 0 less than a couple hours later. Anyways, onto the review: it's short. NegativeMP1 05:53, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

General criteria edit

  •   No cleanup banners or in-line tags.
  •   No copyright violations.
  •   The article is well written with no apparent grammar issues that I noticed. Any general audience could likely understand the article.
  •   The references I checked properly sourced the text they were attributed to. I didn't check absolutely every single reference, but the ones I did pass verification.
  •   The article is broad in its coverage, covering all aspects that I could see a general viewer expecting from an article about Maron.
  •   The text appears to be neutral without any undue weight.
  •   No edit warring to be seen, the article appears to be stable.
  •   Proper illustrated by images where appropriate, with proper captions.
    • Add alt text to the images.
    • I think the rationale on the Revenge screenshot should be expanded upon to elaborate that Revenge received a Guinness World Record to possibly try and justify fair use a bit more.

Two things. I was only able to find two issues with the article at all that could prevent it from being a GA. I will say that I am slightly disappointed in the lack of material for the Personal life section, but I don't think anything can be done about that. That's definitely a recommendation though if there is any material out there, though not required for this and my assumption is you've probably already tried based on how long you've been working on this. Not going to put this on hold since it's quite literally only two things. NegativeMP1 05:53, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Actually I'll put this hold on anyways so it notifies you. NegativeMP1 00:07, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

QPQ:   - Not done
Overall:   Hello @Vortex3427: and thank you for getting this page to GA status! Going through each of the DYK requirements, your nomination checks out for all except the last one, which is your WP:QPQ requirement. To cut down on DYK review backlog, any editor that has nominated "five or more articles" must do a DYK review of another's to have theirs approved going forward. This appears to be your fifth nomination, and you have left the "reviewed" section in your nomination blank. Once you complete this, I have no objections passing the nomination. Cheers! Johnson524 15:00, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hey Johnson524, it looks like Vortex3427 hasn't been active since the 24th. If he doesn't reply within the next few days or so, is it okay if I do the QPQ for him? I was the one who pushed him to nominate this because I was a bit busy to do it myself, but I have time this week to review a hook. Thanks, PantheonRadiance (talk) 05:15, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@PantheonRadiance: Yeah that works for me, especially since that's the only thing this nomination still needs 🙂 Johnson524 12:46, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Johnson524: Actually, using the QPQ checker, the nominator has only nominated three articles for DYK so far (the other article was nominated by another user: Template:Did_you_know_nominations/The_Backrooms), so a QPQ is not required. Sparkltalk 20:30, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ah okay, if that's the case then the hook should be good to go! Thanks, PantheonRadiance (talk) 00:55, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
  Per above, cheers! Johnson524 12:37, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
