Article Evaluation edit

I feel there is some information within the text that lacks proper citations for the information to be considered reliable. For example, stating that in his early life as a competitive fighter, it is claimed that he won a provincial championship in 1998 and 1999 but there is no reference to back this claim. Furthermore, speaking about Yablonski being a former teammate, there needs to be a reputable source of information proving that they were in the same roster at some time. I feel that the information is relevant, but needs to be worded differently to keep a neutral stand on the article. Speaking about Mirasty’s cult following “due to his Mohawk hairstyle and laughing during fights” may insinuate that those are some of the two main reasons for individuals acknowledging him, regardless of any other qualities such as athletic ability/skill. Information comes from two sources that do not seem to work. When you click on the hyperlink the page cannot be found. Therefore, due to the inefficiency of reaching the articles that the information comes from, on top of a lack of references to begin with, makes some of the information harder to believe. Upon my own research on the athlete it seems there is an abundance of interviews, player profiles, and newspaper articles that can be investigated further to find out more about the athlete. The only shortcoming I can see so far is that some of the information that is available comes from local newspapers, news channels, or team interviews/websites and therefore there may be a bias with what information is published. When documenting and reading more on this it will be important to keep this in mind and make sure to inform audiences of a potential bias from the sources.
