John Williams (MMA fighter)

Discussion topics on John Williams, an aboriginal MMA fighter

1.)Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?

-I believe that there is not enough relevant information on the "early life" section from the Wikipedia page on John Williams. Some information is somewhat out of date assuming that this editor has only used one or two articles from the year 2010 which was when John Williams fought in his "world record breaking" fight. I have found previous information on John Williams from before the year 2010, and also some additional information on his early life as a Wabanaki first nations person.

2.)Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?

-From my understanding and research so far on John Williams, I believe there was a lot of missing information on John's past life, from an early age to his last official fight. I have found research on John Williams describing his early life as a Native American Indian from the Wabanaki tribe, and a direct descendent from the Wabanaki war chief Madockaweando. Some other facts that I found to be of importance included, John's early involvement in Olympic style weightlifting Kodokan judo and Tani-Ha Jiu-Jitsu,Williams studies in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kyokushinkai karate, and finally Williams activity in Saigo Ha Daito-Ryu which in 1972 led him to become a successor of his master who was diagnosed with lung cancer.

3.) Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?

-Many of the facts in the article are reliable and valid, but one topic seems to distract me the most; Dr. John Williams becomes the oldest MMA fighter. Although this event is of major importance and has actually set a world record, it seems as if the editor has only based John Williams life around this one event. There are many other relevant facts that build up towards this event and explain how John's early life has influenced him to become the great fighter he was known to be.
