Article issues

edit

A few notes about the tags I just left on the page:

  • Underlinked: Speaks for itself. There's only one wikilink in the body of the article, two in the infobox.
  • Coatrack: Maybe this was too harsh, but a ton of the article seems to be about the 1940 house fire. I may have helped alleviate that by removing the categories Category:Mysteries and Category:Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
  • COI: The main author of the article appears to be the author of the ebooks that make up most of the article's references.
  • Missing information: There's very little about Williams's later life, i.e., after the fire. Where did he die? How?

It looks like the subject is still worth an article. I thought it was a sure shot given the Category:Persons of National Historic Significance (Canada) category, but when I looked at that list, he wasn't there. Maybe the article author misunderstood that category and thought it was a general designation. Please ping me if you reply. --BDD (talk) 04:08, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
