Vandalism? edit

As my previous changes, all of which followed Wiki policies, were reverted with a charge of vandalism, I'm explaining those just made.

The opening paragraph has been shortened in accordance with W:BIO. Information concerning the airing of The John Moore Show has been deleted as it has no place in this paragraph and is discussed later in the article.

In the interests of building a stronger entry, I've eliminate the headers. "Politics" consisted of nothing more than a sentence, while "Notes" was clearly unencyclopedic.

The information in the "Politics" section, which amounts to nothing more than a sentence, has been eliminated. I'd like to include something about Moore's politics, but "Moore's generally left-wing politics stand out on CFRB, but a genial manner endears him to the more traditional and conservative members of his audience" fails to put things in context (is CFRB a conservative station?) and flies in the face of NPOV.

Again, the "Notes" section has been eliminated as it is unencyclopedic. This information, if important, should be included within the body of the article. Moore's appearance on Jeopardy!, while trivial, may be of interest. I've deleted information concerning the fact that he's interviewed "celebritys". Shouldn't one assume this of an entertainment reporter? I've not included information as to who hosts the The John Moore Show when "Moore is on vacation etc" as this concerns a radio show, not a person.--Victoriagirl 16:45, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Many of my changes have again been reversed, without explanation, discussion or edit summary - I will not speculate as to why. I've again shortened the opening paragraph, bringing it in line with W:BIO. Why Moore's reporting on September 11, 2001 was not considered for the "Career" heading is a mystery, particularly as he considers it his "most memorable news reporting experience". I've moved it up. Again, the "Notes" section is unencyclopedic - either the contents are significant and should be incorporated into the entry, or they are trivial and should be deleted. As the "Career" section head has returned, I've added a second dealing with Moore's life outside radio.--Victoriagirl 18:38, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Personal Life edit

He appears to have outed himself in an article written for the Walrus (http://thewalrus.ca/the-moores-of-scotland/), where he states "I met my partner when someone who was supposed to be a guest on a radio show I worked on slept in and dispatched him as a replacement." Is that sufficient for the BLP? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.212.231.93 (talk) 00:51, 18 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
