5 daughters
editFrom the TEDtalks video podcast [1], 3:56 into the video:
"This also happened also, I have five daughters now."
Correcting a claim about Paul Rand
editThis article paraphrases a sentence from the International Herald Tribune:
- After high school, he studied computer programming at MIT, and became intrigued by its creative potential after discovering the work of the graphic designers, Paul Rand and Muriel Cooper, who then ran MIT's Visual Language Workshop.
The Wikipedia article interprets this ambiguous sentence to mean that Rand and Cooper both helped run the MIT Visual Language Workshop. Cooper was a co-director, but Rand was not the other director. (A review of the record suggests that Rand had no affiliation with MIT, though he did speak at the Media Lab at least once, a few weeks before his death.) This article's paraphrase of the IHT article formerly said that Rand and Cooper were both directors; I have edited it to clarify that only Cooper held that position. Suspicious edit
editAn "I believe" statement is not as arrogant sounding as a "claim." I'm suspicious that this careful edit of a single word without a source lacks WP:NPOV. This makes it difficult to WP:AGF. I've linked the actual quote in the article. Oicumayberight (talk) 01:18, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Connected contributors
editThere are several single-purpose accounts that edited this article in 2017 and 2018. They behaved very similarly, so it is likely they are socks of the same person, although it's too late to ask for an investigation. It is likely they have a connection to this article's subject. Those accounts are listed in the connected contributors template at the start of the talk page. Apocheir (talk) 02:34, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
