Looking for any photo relating to John F. Leavitt
editJohn F. Leavitt was a prolific maritime author and writer. If anyone has a photo of one of his book jackets, canvases, or especially a photo of the artist and curator himself, that would be fabulous. Many thanks in advance. MarmadukePercy (talk) 08:42, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

The article as it is now, is confusing because it lumps together two entirely different entities. There was the person, John F. Leavitt, writer, painter, and curator. Then there was also the schooner that was named after him, and sank under questionable circumstances. Mr. Leavitt did not really have any significant link with the schooner. Thus I believe that the portion of this story relating to the schooner should be a subsection, and not blended, since this will be confusing to anyone not familiar with the history.Bluepadma (talk) 00:03, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
