Esslemont Family

I tripped across the Esslemont family website which mentions this John E - I've already contacted them about a revision of their entry for him and when posted it should look much nicer. While I'm at it there are some other additions to consider - one is Esslemont's interest in Esperanto (see for example Dr. Esslemont is also noted as being interested and teaching Esperanto - see Making World Peace Real by Paul Dessaily and search for Esslemont.--Smkolins (talk) 14:44, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

This seems to require further review - there was a previous edit adding Esslemont as an Esprantist - I don't know if that's a valid label but it's not out of hand wrong given one or two refs as above (another one mentioned he spoke 6 languages adding Persian and Arabian after becoming a Baha'i.) On the other hand that edit was removed with a flat statement that Esslemont was not an Esperantist. So I wonder what to do.--Smkolins (talk) 03:31, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

A second contribution was an unpublished Esslemont’s Survey of the Bahā’ī Community 1919-1920 characterized as "The importance of this material lies firstly in the fact that this is the first attempt to survey the whole world-wide Bahā'ī community and provides a valuable picture of this community at that early date and secondly in the value of the historical information coming from such important figures. It is of course a pity that Esslemont did not ever write the chapter itself as his assessment of this material would in itself have been valuable." by Dr. M. OK - I figured out in context the "J.E." is really his initials. Most the refs to FBEA I see seem related to Esperanto - if you google for FBEA and Esperato you get a lot of hits.--Smkolins (talk) 01:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
