There are two Johannes Eckstein, father and son. Both are mixed in literature very often. This article serves the bibliographical data of the father with an etching of the son. The father was more known as a sculptor but also did paintings; he was an allrounder as an artist. The son was mor a painter and etcher, especially known for naval scenes.
