Talk:John Dendahl

Syndicated columnist

edit

The lead mentions that he was a syndicated columnist, but the only sentence about that is: When Dendahl was replaced as GOP chairman and became a syndicated columnist, he turned the heat up further with numerous columns critical of Richardson and his administration. There is no citation for this statement, nor for his status as a syndicated columnist, nor indication of which newspapers (or syndicate) carried his column. --Bejnar (talk) 15:40, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Non-encyclopedic paragraphs

edit

Two paragraphs seem not to be directly related to John Dendahl, and seem to be included more for a related snide comment, than for encyclopedic purposes. Specifically, the one starting Somewhat more than two months later, U.S. Sen. Jim Jeffords of Vermont ... and A few days later, an Albuquerque Journal editorial said .... These two incidents should be condensed into encyclopedic prose and supported by citations to reliable sources. --Bejnar (talk) 15:40, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Quotations without citation

edit

The article contains a number of citations, but does not provide citations to reliable sources for their verifiability. For example, it does not provide a citation for Tim Archuleta of The Albuquerque Tribune calling Dendahl the most feared and loathed politician in New Mexico. --Bejnar (talk) 15:40, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Go ahead and start repairing this. I believe Dengahl started working on the entry this past September, and he was unfamiliar with wikipedia citation. His obit in thr ABQ Journal had some of the references that you are seeking. You can find it online. Taram (talk) 04:42, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
