In the gallery I re-dated this item 1912, was 1892. 1912 matches the text, which I only reworded, and matches Joseph Jacobs#Works, which I only rearranged. So we are consistent.
But it looks like we are wrong, from digital copy at HathiTrust as 1892 [1]. --P64 (talk) 00:13, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Restored 1892 in the Gallery. Rewrote the prose (where 1912 had been stated) without all the dates and with some more information.
The first five Jacobs & Batten collections, as now listed here, were issued for the Christmas gift-book season annually from 1890 to 1894 (all October maybe), some with dates for the following year on their title pages. --P64 (talk) 22:59, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
