I'm curious about the "old school" adding the phrase to our cultural lexicon and would like to see a source for that. Searching google for "old school etymology" (without the quotes) lead to http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?l=o&p=3, which references "old school" as having been used as far back as 1749. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/old-school has the phrase listed as having a time of origin around 1780-1790.
