How to Type the letter ö in Schöner ? edit

If you want to use "ö" instead of "o" in a Schöner, then use these keyboard stroke / keys :
Press "S", "c", "h". Then press ...
Alt + 0246 (it means, first press the "Alt" (Alternative/Alternate) key in your keyboard, and keep it pressing with your left hand, then press the digits 0 2 4 6 one by one, in the right-side numeric keypad).
Press "n", "e", "r".
Then you will get Schöner. To make it a linkable (to goto this article,) use two third brackets at the beginning and end of the name, like this '''Johannes Schöner globe''', then you will get linkable Johannes Schöner globe.

resources needed - still weak article edit

This article is still very weak regarding follow up information, particularly actual images of the globes. There are two surviving 1515 exemplars, in German museums. I know EU museums are not generous with sharing images, and the ones published in Van Duzer's book are too dark. However, the fragments of the gores are at the LoC, which complies with the principles of being good stewards of these treasures of humanity and should have good scans available. I originally came here to learn about the 1520 globe, and I have learned not much :-) . The links are poor. This is as much a to-do for myself as for anyone.YamaPlos talk 15:04, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

OK, so far, gotta eat my words, the Historisches Museum Frankfurt (Frankfurt Museum of History) has pretty good images, and they are shared as CC-by-sa, yay! https://historisches-museum-frankfurt.de/de/node/33519?language=en YamaPlos talk 15:21, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
