It is suggested that reference is made to a definitive ENGLISH publication for references to Radio Caroline, rather than American or Romanian publications, and apparentl claims on their influence on English Pirate stations. A good place to start would be the stations own web site for its origins. This version of events is the same has been published for the past 45 years! --Keith 23:32, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Radio Caroline ceased to exist after the original ships were towed away. What followed were amateurs playing a game of pirate radio. The publications you refer to are academic. The Economist is a noted BRITISH publication. The web site you refer to has no connection whatsoever to any activity that took place between 1964 and 1967. The Economist and Queen - both respected for providing the views of a particular part of society - hardly impartial!!! --Keith 06:53, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Justification for removal of certain material

Re edit of 2009-11-28T21:32:46 and the current (2009-12-03T21:38:08)

Stevens is credited here as a newspaper publisher and Quango member. All of the facts stated on the current version are uncontested. However, to elaborate on a small section of his life with material that is at odds to referenceable material, quoting material which is irrelevant is tantamount to trying to rewrite history. Elaborating further, in the so called "references" on the socio-political references of that material, is totally beyond the scope of this article. To then use this article as a reference for such material is nothing more than reprehensible. Hence the removal of such, which has been done as to keep as much verifiable material as possible. --Keith 09:38, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
