Potential sources for this article

In many countries, layoffs are regulated by law and/or collective agreements. This is generally called "job security" or "employment protection" and a comparison between different countries in this respect would be very interesting. In the EU, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (www.eurofound.eu.int) publishes comparative studies and continuously monitors developments in the area.
