Thank you David Eppstein for pointing out the lack of references in the infobox. I added it again with references to all points except citizenship and residence. The claim about his citizenship is already made in the text without references, and it is correct. His current institution should be enough for his residency. I omitted his place of birth as it is not publicly available as far as I can see. Slefff (talk) 01:49, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
In the text it just says "Canadian" which is vague enough that it could cover working in Canada on a long-term basis. In the infobox it has "nationality: Canadian" which is more specific and therefore requires a specific published source stating his citizenship. (I have no actual doubt that he is a Canadian citizen but we still require sourcing.) —David Eppstein (talk) 05:44, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Ok I agree. Other than that, is it a good idea or not to add an infobox to this page? –Slefff (talk) 01:25, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
My feeling is that infoboxes can be good when they provide a quick summary of details that are scattered throughout an article, and bad when they introduce new information (especially unsourced new information) or when they say only the things that a reader would find just as easily by reading the first paragraph of the article (WP:DISINFOBOX). So it depends. —David Eppstein (talk) 05:34, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
