I'm currently editing it for Wikipedia:Avoid peacock terms; it was rewritten for promotional purposes, but the parties doing it were transparent about their identity, and they deserve credit for that... hence the good sense of the general admonitions in Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest). Still need personal info -- schooling, year married, wife's maiden name -- standard stuff. I cut down on laundry lists (much more prominent people do not have discographies, certainly not complete track listings), and followed a policy (I've heard mentioned, but not seen codified) of not giving identifying details of prominent people's minor children. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it just seems to be a weird sentence and totally irrelevent, especially under the "Live Performer" heading. Who cares? Is it in his act?

can anyone clarify? hello?

I broke out the Scovell allegation. But then I saw a conflict in logic, claiming it happened at a wrap party for a "variety special," and that Scovell thereafter "lost her job as the show went into a second season."

That likely cannot occur. It would be extremely unusual for a special to have seasons, the former being usually one-time events, and less commonly recurring annually. Has VF been correctly paraphrased?

Spiders & Snakes album?

Both Billboard magazine (28 December 1974 "Talent in Action" special, page 24) and the book "American entertainment : a unique history of popular show business" by Joseph Csida (page 433) list an album by Jim Stafford titled Spiders & Snakes under the label MGM, which they state was #9 on the 1974 Billboard Year-End Country Albums chart. This title is not listed in the albums section of this article. Is it the same album as Jim Stafford, which the song "Spiders & Snakes" is from? If so, how come it has a different title? His first television appearance

The article says Stafford’s first TV appearance was in 1974. YouTube has videos of him on the Smothers Brothers, which ran in the mid ‘60s. I don’t know if either was his earliest TV appearance. 206.190.194.189 (talk) 00:16, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
