Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted. The subject of the article is notable in their own right for conservation work. I dispute the notion it's overly promotional. I have no connection with the subject, nor did I receive any payment for its creation as alleged. Take this to afd by all means but speedy is an abuse of process. Major contributor?

As I originally requested to create this entry on Jim Nyamu, after seeing him speak in Washington, DC, in 2013, I may be the "major contributor" who appears to have a close connection with him. The reason for that, other than the fact that I saw Nyamu speak, may be that I recently came to understand that I was an "unpaid advocate" for another entry elsewhere in Wikipedia. I believe that matter has been resolved. Now, having seen a few news items on Jim Nyamu recently, I decided to add a bit to this entry. However, I see no reason to include the boxed caution on a "major contributor with a close connection." I have no close connection to Jim Nyamu. Thank you. Kcroes (talk) 23:58, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the disclosure. Actually, the contributor in question is Kamrama who seemed to have inside knowledge of biographical details like work experience etc. I'm assuming in good faith that you aren't connected to that editor. – Brianhe (talk) 00:10, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

Orphan status addressed

I recently added a few references to the work of Jim Nyamu in related entries. If these revisions are acceptable, the article is no longer technically an orphan. Kcroes (talk) 21:41, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
