Ambiguity edit

The change [1] introduced unnecessary ambiguity:

  1. The article name "Jim Ellis (politics)" is ambiguous because Jim Ellis (Seattle) was involved in politics as well. This will be discussed on Talk:Jim Ellis (politics).
  2. The descriptions for both are devoid of specifics:
  • Jim Ellis (Seattle) (b. 1920/21), American jurist & activist
  • Jim Ellis (politics) (fl. 2000), American Republican activist
For all we know, "Jim Ellis (Seattle)" could have connections with Republicans and "Jim Ellis (politics)" connections with law or Seattle. Why leave out the specific and unmistakable descriptor "executive director of Americans for a Republican Majority"? (I'm fine with leaving out the link per MoS:DP#Individual entries.)

"Executive director of", or rather "head of" if Jim Ellis III worked in the mail room and became notable by taking the opportunity to abscond with ARMPAC's assets; otherwise JWE is not going to be mistaken for anyone else at ARMPAC. By the same token, people who can expound on TRMPAC and DeLay's future at length have never heard of "Jim Ellis", "James W. Ellis", "ARMPAC", or "Americans for a Republican Majority", neither form of the groups name is crucial to, nor probably even useful for, the purpose of distinguishing among these three bios. By now i am so fed up with this that i can't bear to look again & show how my version is more effective (bcz of the reduced clutter than yours). If you think more is needed, show scenarios where your change, or your whole new version would make an improvement in disambiguation. (BTW, bear in mind that lks from articles to Dabs are unwelcome and are constantly eroded by our colleagues on bypassing patrols, so think more about people reaching the Dab from the WP "search" box than by following a lk.)
