Only one reference for her whole reason for an entry? As everything that she is notable for stems from this, more references are needed. Rgds, --86.140.138.73 (talk) 00:21, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Can't you count? There are several references throughout the article. B1atv (talk) 15:56, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Un-Sourced Claim of Priority

The article says, "It was thought that this was the first time a rape victim had "gone public" to talk about her experiences."
I think the definition of "gone public" being applied here is of appearing on TV to talk about her experience rather than the publication of a book about it. In any event, whichever definition of, "gone public" is being applied, you have no reference to who thought this nor any examples of people thinking this or of saying they thought this. It is therefore un-sourced speculation and I suspect it is the author's complete guess. On those grounds alone it should be removed.
However, we can also show that the central claim, that Miss Saward was the first person to "go public" about her rape, is not true anyway. In March 1983, Zondervan Books published the biography of rape victim Deborah Roberts with the simple title Raped and the ISBN 978-0-310-43680-5, preceding Miss Saward by about ten years with publication, and in 1988 an American woman called Nancy Ziegenmeyer gave permission for her real name to be used in a series of articles in the Des Moines Register about her rape, a series that won a Pulitzer Prize for reporter Jane Schorer and resulted in Miss Ziegenmeyer appearing on talk shows in the US to talk about it and there was also a made for TV film called Taking Back My Life.

I am therefore deleting the reference to Miss Saward being "thought to be the first...".
