Thanks for adding images. However (and I feel rather ungrateful asking this, since I haven't uploaded any pictures yet), the cover for "Sitting Bull" is perhaps the ugliest cover he ever made (in my opinion of course), and isn't really a cover but just a blown-up drawing, not really representative of the care he took when designing covers. The covers of e.g. "Les Japs Attaquent" (Buck Danny)[1], "Valhardi 1"[2], Spirou ALbum 24[3], Golden Creek (Jerry Spring)[4], or Le Loup Solitaire[5] are in my view much more illustrative, displaying at the same time his major series (except for the Buck Danny one) and showcasing his talents. I'll try to see if I can add some pictures, but I don't have a scanner, so that makes it harder of course. Fram 10:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, by all means. Don't feel ungrateful! ;) I chose this one maybe a bit lightly (mostly for its rough avant-garde feel and not being a super fan of his realistic style). Jijé.org was down last I checked, but these load fine. Both the Golden Creek and Valhardi covers are very handsome, and I had forgotten about the already uploaded L'aventure[6] cover I did some cleaning on.. Any of those would have my vote. awright, I went ahead and did it. It is certainly much nicer. A decent publicity photo of Jijé would be nice too.. —MURGH disc. 16:21, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bahou!

edit

Haha, Jijé's Marsupilami says "Bahou" instead of "Houba". I didn't notice that, before. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 18:52, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Atom Style

edit

I thought the term Atomic Style only was adopted as a concept in the 80's with Yves Chaland's consciously stylish retro comics. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 10:16, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
